Mathematics Department
Resources
Tools, platforms and materials we use regularly — in class, for practice, and for DP preparation.
Practice platforms
Dr Frost Maths
Our primary practice platform for Years 7–11. Unit pages link directly to the relevant DFM skill set. A free account is required; it also tracks progress across sessions.
Mathigon
An interactive digital textbook with visual explanations. Useful for consolidating concepts across MYP and DP topics. Freely available without a login.
Desmos
The graphing calculator we use in class for functions, transformations and data visualisation. The scientific calculator version is available free in browser — useful alongside GDC practice.
GeoGebra
Dynamic geometry, algebra and calculus tool. Used for exploring geometric constructions, transformations and visualising derivatives and integrals. Strong for IA exploration work.
DP resources
IB Mathematics Formula Booklet
The IB provides a formula booklet in all DP mathematics examinations. Students should be familiar with its contents from early in Year 12. Copies are available from the department; digital versions are on MyIB.
Revision Village
IB-specific practice questions, topic videos and past-paper walkthroughs for all four DP mathematics courses. The free tier is useful; teachers sometimes provide access codes for the premium version.
